To answer that question we first need to define what we mean by the mobile Web.

It is very different from the normal desktop Web. Some people browse desktop websites from their mobile phones, this can be very frustrating, the websites can be slow to upload, hard to read and slow to navigate. This is because the vast majority of desktop websites are not designed to be viewed on a mobile device that has a small screen size, smaller keyboard and no mouse.

As a result, businesses looking to attract mobile users, design a mobile website or mobile pages for their desktop website (mobi site) specifically to be viewed on mobile browsers (mowsers).

When we talk about the mobile Web, we really mean these mobi sites, that have been specifically designed to give users an enhanced mobile experience.
